Scrabble Club welcomes beginning players

The Leisure World Scrabble Club met Jan. 22, 29 and Feb. 5.

There were 38 scores above 300 (eight of which were at least 400) and 26 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven in one move).

Suthy Edgar led with nine scores higher than 300, including five of at least 400, and 11 bingos. Her best score was a 498. Diane Seeger and Larry Edgar each topped 300 eight times and had five bingos. Seeger had a top score of 416. Edgar had two scores above 400, the higher of which was a 441.

Jim Schneiderman and Marilyn Moody each bettered 300 three times. Their respective best scores were 349 and 334.

Bob Ruderman and Sue Ann Gass each topped 300 twice and each had a best score of 387. Ruderman had three TheclubmeetseachWednesday from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members, including beginning players, are welcome.
