Karaoke nights held weekly

In February, the Community Karaoke Club celebrates romance during its weekly karaoke parties.
On Feb. 5, Walt Bier and Tony Tupas sang a popular duet “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before.” Joan Rosenberg liked the strong beat of “Love Song.” The haunting ballad “If Tomorrow Never Comes” was Barbie May’s choice. Don Sunday described love by singing “You’re My Everything.” Martha Destra chose the poignant “Tears in Heaven.” “And I Love You So” was a beautiful tune for Chuck Oehl. Anna Lam sang a strong “Without You.” Bob Barnum gave the emotional tune “I’ve Been Loving You.” It was a fast-paced evening with friendly faces and a variety of music provided by 30 performers.
Prospective singers can take advantage of the Monday karaoke practice sessions from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 6. A small group rehearse a few numbers, changing the pitch to perfect a tune. Karaoke parties are held every Wednesday evening in Clubhouse 1 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
