New Bigfoot utility carts delivered

Ten new Bigfoot utility carts were delivered to the Maintenance Yard on Dec. 18, marking the beginning of a new era for the Service Maintenance fleet. Ten additional carts are expected to arrive in the new year.

These new vehicles will replace the aging Cushman fleet. Some of the old carts have been in operation for as long as 42 years. With rising repair costs and extended downtime, the outdated vehicles were increasingly unable to meet the demands of the department, leading to slower response times for Service Request Orders (SROs).

The new vehicles were purchased with reserve funding.
