Meals on Wheels of Long Beach, Inc., delivers freshly cooked meals for $11.50 per day Monday-Friday, between 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Deliveries include an 8-ounce carton of 1% milk. Beef stew with potatoes, biscuit, orange, turkey, ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and pickle and marinated beet salad.
Friday, Dec. 27
Chicken enchilada casserole with red sauce, Mexicali corn, zucchini medley, peaches, taco salad with chicken, diced tomatoes, corn, black beans, chese, cilantro, salsa dressing and crackers.
Monday, Dec. 30
Turkey chili with barley, cornbread, green beans, cookies, chicken salad sandwich with spinach and tomato and confetti slaw.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
Baked ham with honey glaze, mashed sweet potatoes, seasoned broccoli, pie, Chinese chicken salad with mandarin oranges, cabbage, carrots, onions, Asian dressing and crackers.
