LW Baptist Church
LW Baptist Church meets for worship in Clubhouse 4 at 10 a.m. each Sunday. The January schedule will be in this week’s church bulletin.
In Matthew 2:19-23 the history follows Jesus from Bethlehem to Egypt and finally Nazareth at news of evil King’s Herod’s death. All the gospel writers agree that Nazareth became Jesus’ hometown, and often influenced initial responses to him and his work. It became one of his enduring appellations, the Nazarene, and even appeared in three languages on the inscription over his cross. No wonder the poet wrote, “I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene/ And wonder how he could love me, a sinner condemned, unclean.”
