Shetlands family donates to the Emergency Information Council
The Emergency Information Council (EIC) gratefully announces the receipt of its latest donated vehicle under its vehicle donation program with www.CarEasy.org. Bob and Debbie Shetland donated their 2001 L-Saturn Series sedan.
Bob and Debbie recently relocated to Mutual 15 from South Orange County, in part to make it easier to help out with transporting their nearby grandkids. Although the Saturn had served them well, that precious cargo called for a more reliable vehicle. Their new community will benefit as well.
The quick and easy donation process filled the bill, and the vehicle was picked up just a few days after the donation call. All that is required are a few numbers off the title document and a couple pictures submitted on line and a tow truck is on its way. Tax deduction documents are available since the EIC is an IRS charity. Donations can be made at www.eiclwsb.org/Donate-Vehicle or by calling 855-500-RIDE (7433). Be sure to mention Emergency Information Council.
The EIC will turn the proceeds derived from the sale into disaster preparedness information and related activities within Leisure World. The EIC provides monthly speakers related to disaster preparedness, a quarterly vital-document scanning service and support for the Boots on Ground disaster response plan.
