The Salvation Army will accept ….
The Salvation Army will accept donations of small to medium furniture and household goods. Donated items must be clean, undamaged, and in salable.
Liability issues prevent the Salvation Army personnel from entering people’s units or picking up their donations on Mutual property so people must bring their donations to the truck.
The Salvation Army representatives on site will have right of refusal and if so the shareholder can dispose of the material in the designated rolloff bins in the 1.8-acre site.
People should enter the site from Oak Hills Drive off Northwood in the northwest corner of Leisure World. Those who want to use the Community Gardens facilities that day should be aware that on-site parking will be severely limited during the event.
Though the focus on Saturday, Dec.14, will be on furniture (small- to medium-sized) and larger household goods, the Salvation Army will also accept donations of clothing, sporting goods, toys and games, artwork, tools and other items.
Donation bags are available in the lobby of each clubhouse and the News Office. IRS-approved receipts will be provided on request.
