Holiday party was a hit celebrating 10 years of dance
JOYFUL LINE DANCE
The Joyful Line Dance Club held a holiday party featuring dance and festive food Dec. 7.
The club also celebrated 10 years of line dancing. Since 2014, the club has been a fun place to exercise for men and women. Partners are not needed for line dancing.
The party featured non-stop line dances led by Karen Kei and Albert Comia. More than 20 dances were specially chosen to ring in the holidays.
More than 65 members turned out and club leaders stepped up to help.
Dancers enjoyed lunch boxes from California Pizza Kitchen that included chicken club sandwiches, salad with barbecued chicken, soup and a brownie.
The club thanks everyone who helped in any way to make the gathering successful. Special thanks to Gina Baik and Sophia Chun for picking up over 70 lunch boxes for the party. The club meets every Thursday from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. From 10-10:30, the club offers a beginners class if for those who want to learn how to line dance. All residents are welcome. Nominal membership fees are required. For more information about the club, call Anna Derby at 562-301-5339.
