Assembly of God

It is never fun to be excluded. It starts on the playground and continues through life when invitations don’t arrive, hands are not extended or doors remain closed, causing disappointment and grief. But when one is welcomed with a smile, open arms and kind words, the feeling of being part of something good warms the heart and soul. The angel who announced Jesus’s coming proclaimed the good tidings of great joy were for all people. The announcement didn’t come to a king or a religious official, but to lowly shepherds in a field. The good news of Jesus and reconciliation with God is for all people. Share in this great truth Sunday as Pastor Chuck Franco brings a message titled “For All People,” from Luke 2:8-15.

The Wednesday Bible study group is on session three titled “The Commitment,” from the Jason Turner series, “The Unexpected.” Joseph’s role in the story of Jesus’s birth is often marginalized. But Joseph’s commitment to remain betrothed to Mary, even in uncomfortable and certainly questionable circumstances, provides an example in standing by commitments.

LW Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6 p.m in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
