LW Pool Club wraps fall leagues
The LW Pool Club wrapped up its fall 2024 league season with a sweepstakes event. The teams on Monday and Wednesday night don’t play teams in the other league until the playoffs. That event was won on Nov. 11 by The Russtlers, who finished second in the Monday night league. The club congratulates league champions Kurt Bourhenne, Frank Sablan and Jennifer Spinder.
In the sweepstakes on Nov. 18, every team played one game against every team in the other league. Each team played six games. The only team to win five games in the sweepstakes was The Misfits, from the Wednesday night National League. There was a four-way tie for second place, which led to a one game playoff.
In the playoff, The Cue Crew beat The Renegades and The Sharks beat The Snipers. The Renegades played The Snipers for fourth and fifth place, and The Snipers won.
In the battle for second place, The Russtlers Kurt Bourhenne, Frank Sablan and Jennifer Spinder played The Sharks Ruffy Ramos, Brian Burke and Chandra Patel. Patel made a long difficult shot on the eight in the corner to win second place for The Sharks.
The club will take a break in league play and start again on Jan. 17. There will be an open 3,6,9 ball tournament on Dec. 28.
