Thankful for Neighbors and Neighborhoods
Most apartment buildings in Leisure World consist of 12 units, 6 to a side, back-to-back, 1 or 2 bedrooms.
Some have patios.
The majority have 1 resident.
Some have 2.
Many have decorative, sort of trefoil bricks...
(the buildings, that is, not the residents) There is a certain sameness to the Mutuals of Leisure World… a sameness to the buildings, a sameness to the apartments.
There is NO sameness to the residents.
They are individuals— all different, all unique, all interesting, all fascinating!
Bricks and mortar make buildings.
Only residents can make neighborhoods… The way my mother made our house a home.
Go out: meet and greet, walk and talk, care and share. You don’t have to be a mover, a shaker, just be a neighborhood maker.
Sooo…I say, Thank you Ann, Johnathan and Stephanie, Rosemary, Nancy, Steve, Katie, Bill and Carol, Chris, Tony and Lheda, Nita, Aggie,…and YOU… Nice day, isn’t it?
