Sunshine Club
The Sunshine Club will host three speakers from Athens Services in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, on Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. Athens Services is the premier recycling and waste diversion leader in Southern California. Family-owned and operated since 1957, Athens provides exceptional service, by hires and developing great people, while fostering a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment.
Athens is proud to service Leisure World, and the three presenters, Evelyn Jauregui, Arturo Rodriguez and Melissa Gonzalez will give a presentation on topics including California waste legislation, with specific emphasis on SB 1383 and organics recycling. The join the meeting. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served at the meeting.
People are asked to arrive promptly. Those who are late are asked to quietly use the back door so as not to disturb the presentation.
The Sunshine Club will not hold a meeting next Friday, Nov. 28, so members can celebrate Thanksgiving.
