Shuffleboard Club’s Turkey Shoot was Nov. 16

Shuffleboard fall league play continues on Tuesday evenings through Dec. 3 and Friday mornings through Dec. 6.

On Nov. 16, the club held a turkey shoot, which is a unique way of playing the game. Each of the six courts had a special but different challenge that required equal amounts of luck and skill. There were no teams so the competition was based on the individual player. Each person played two games each and scores were posted on a blackboard to identify winners and cash prizes were handed out.

Helpers organizing this fun event this time around were Karen Mendon, Rod Osgood and Patty Peterson. Participants were treated to soft drinks, salad and pizza after the games. A good time was had by all.

Friday morning league results for Nov. 8: Team Sally defeated Team Carol 6-3. Team Sally’s all-game winners were Marilyn Blackman, Sally Fowler and Sal LaScala. Team Carol had no all-game winners. Team Jack triumphed over Team Patti 9-6. Team Jack had four all-game winners: Harold Morehead, John Mount, Michelle Potter and Patty Peterson.

Team Patti had one all-game winner, Micki Aiello.

Tuesday evening league results for Nov. 12: Team Harold upset Team Roger 7-3. All-game winners for Team Harold were Sandy Bush, Susie Kim and Harold Morehead. Team Roger had no all-game winners. Team Karen bested Team Sally 9-5. The all-game winners for Team Karen were Sandy Derouin, Judy Hulin, Karen Mendon and John Mount. There were no all-game winners for Team Sally.
