We two ladies love eating all types of food, but many of our friends have specific food preferences (fish only, veggies only, meat only, Asian only, American only to name a few). We decided to review some restaurants that served dishes suiting everyone’s preferences so we could all eat together once in awhile. Plus we added criteria of our particular likes and necessities: ease of using a walker at the different food areas, adequate seating to accommodate parties, tables instead of booths, close parking, proximity to Leisure World with no freeway driving, and a price that isn’t sky high.

The Paradise Buffet is our first restaurant reviewed. It met each of our criteria plus every bite we ate tasted delicious.

One-hundred-and-twenty-four dishes is what this Paradise Buffet location offers. The long bar features 38 dishes of Asian and American food including spicy chicken, pot stickers and beef pot roast. The Mongolian bar (you select, employee cooks) features 24 foods; the salad bar, 22; the sushi bar, 15; the sashimi bar, eight; and last, the dessert bar, 17 including vanilla and chocolate soft serve. The ease of using a walker we rated 100%. Seating accommodates 350 people at tables. The building accommodates parking on two sides. We arrived at noon. Even though the line was out the door, we were still able to park in the fourth space on one of the corner lanes.

The driving distance is bout 6.6 miles on surface roads: left out of Leisure World; at Katella, right; at Chapman, left; then a few miles on Chapman and located on the left you see the big Paradise Buffet building sign.

The early bird session from 2-4 p.m. is $10.99 Monday-Thursday with Coca Cola product drinks extra. The senior price at other times is $18.99 with Coca Cola product drinks extra. Reservations are available Monday through Friday. On your birthday, you eat free when you eat with three others. Plus you can bring your own birthday cake. But if you don’t, the Paradise Buffet brings you “something special” from the dessert bar.

Bush and Fudge rate the Paradise Buffet five thumbs up!
