Hearing and Brain Health Information

LW resident and Doctor Bruce Vircks, a former president of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, donated three copies of the book “Hearing and Brain Health,” by Andrew Campbell, to the Leisure World library.

In his book, Campbell talks about the importance of timely and effective treatment of hearing loss to prevent dementia in older adults.

Dr. Vircks retired from his practice in Iowa and moved to Leisure World in 2018. He speaks at the Hearing and Vision Impaired Club meetings periodically on topics related to audiology.
