Join discussion of LA Adventurers’ Club and members’ trip to India
TRAVELING TIGERS
The Traveling Tigers will meet Wednesday, Nov. 20, at noon in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The meeting will begin with a potluck.
Those who want to participate should bring a dish to share and, if needed, a coffee cup.
After the potluck, there will be a short business meeting at 1 p.m. and then a presentation by Rick Flores on his travels to India at 1:15.
Flores is a long-term member of the Los Angeles Adventurers’ Club and an avid photography enthusiast. He had the great opportunity to travel around the world with some the friends that he made while a member of the Adventurers’ Club, the last of which was a trip to India with Pierre Odier—perhaps the greatest unknown adventurer in the storied history of the club.
Flores has given two travel and photography presentations on the Colorado Plateau and Indonesia, as well as at the Los Angeles Adventurers’ Club, the All Valley Professional Photographers Association and the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing.
Recently widowed and retired from the aerospace industry, he spends his now abundant free time reading, traveling, cooking, and looking for interesting things to photograph in his beloved City of Angels.
