Cribbage Club
The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served from noon-12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 is assured a place to play. One dollar is collected from each player and those finishing in the top four scores are awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played.
Gene and Margaret Smith, whom the club celebrated for the 18 years they both served on the Cribbage Club board, recently stepped down and can now just relax and enjoy playing the game with their many friends. The club appreciates all the work and dedication they provided so selflessly.
Micki Whitaker provided cake and ice cream for the group last week. Whitaker and Potsy Frank served the refreshments and Melinda Cowan provided mixed nuts and candies.
Weekly winners: Diane Holdaway, 847, first place with a perfect score and winning her another star; Barbara Rockwell and Patti Smith, 830, second; Ron Larson, 829, third; Suzanne Parks, 828, fourth. Terry Thrift and Alma Zamzow both finished with six 121s.
