Chris Lankford scores his second eagle of the year
LW MEN'S GOLF LEAGUE
It was beautiful fall morning that greeted 11 players at the par-71 River View Golf course on Nov. 4.
At the 7 a.m. tee time the sun was already out. The brilliant sun generated some wind which had an impact on the back nine with in-your-face wind for the first five holes and then downwind for the last four. This contributed to Chris Lankford’s second eagle of the year on the 465-yard par-5 15th hole that he reached easily in two. A short putt and it was 3 on a par 5.
Fujio Norihiro was closest to the pin on the 140-yard par-3 second hole and Gary Stivers was closest to the pin on the 100-yard par-3 ninth hole. Birdies were carded by LaCascia and Stivers and Jim Goltra had two. Stivers had fewest putts in the A flight and Tom Ross had fewest in the B.
A flight winners: Jim Goltra, 4 under 67, first place; Stivers
