Assembly of God
It is likely that everyone has wondered, at least for a moment, “Have I put away enough money to sustain me throughout my retirement years?” A lifetime of planning and faithfully saving brings about a sense of security. Then there are those who hope for the best, show up at a relative’s funeral and ask, “Where’s my inheritance?” Jesus was concerned with one’s spiritual inheritance and taught using a parable, found in Luke 12:13-21. A lifetime of good planning doesn’t ensure a long life, and pinning one’s hopes of future good fortune that doesn’t materialize can mean living one’s final years in poverty. Pastor Chuck Franco will present a sermon this Sunday on the Christ-minded view of security and inheritance.
The Wednesday Bible study group will begin a new session focused on Christmas on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
