SEAL BEACH POLICE
The Seal Beach Police Department will hold two traffic safety classes designed specifically for Leisure World residents on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 4.
These informative sessions will help older drivers make important decisions about when it may be time to stop driving.
The courses will cover:
• Deciding When to Stop Driving: Learn how factors such as age, medications and health conditions can impact driving ability and when it might be time to consider alternatives to driving.
• Common Rules of the Road: A review of key traffic laws and regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Common Violations Observed in Leisure World: A discussion of frequent traffic violations seen within Leisure World to increase awareness and prevent accidents.
• Differences in Laws for Vehicles, Bicycles and Golf Carts: An explanation of the distinct regulations governing vehicles, bicycles and golf carts to avoid confusion and ensure safety for all road users.
Each training session will last approximately one hour, with time for questions after.
The Seal Beach Police Department’s Traffic Bureau and the California Highway Patrol, will lead the training.
There is no cost to attend and no need to RSVP; people are encouraged to show up for the session that works best for them.
