New bicycle entry procedures go into effect Nov. 8
To assist with bicyclists entering the community safely and efficiently, the GRF has been reviewing gate entry procedures with stakeholders.
The following procedures for bicycle entry will be put into effect on Nov. 8:
• All bicyclists who want to enter the community will line up in the vehicle lane and wait in line with other vehicles.
• Upon reaching the gate, bicyclists can gain entry by stopping at the gate and showing their valid LW identification cards or showing their new 2025 bicycle decals (more information at right).
• Upon verification, the gate officer will use the toggle switch to raise the bar to allow the bicyclist to enter. After the bicyclist completely clears the gate area, the gate officer will lower the gate.
Regarding the new bicycle
decal:
• The new bicycle decal has a purple background and will expire at the end of 2025.
• Bicycle decals are now available at the Decal Office.
• To receive a decal, a resident must present their valid LW identification card and have their bicycle present so the decal officer can place the decal on the bicycle.
