LW Baptist Church meets on Sundays at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4. This week’s message is about serving God single-mindedly.

Jesus said, “Seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness, and life’s necessities will be provided as well.”

He singled out Mary of Bethany by saying, “Only one thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen that one most important thing, which will not be taken away from her.”

Paul the apostle wrote “This one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching out to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Amid life’s many duties, Christians must not lose sight of their primary role, which is serving Christ: “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord, not for men, knowing you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. Serve the Lord Christ.”
