On Oct. 31, costumed Friends of the Library volunteers greeted LW residents and offered goodies to brighten their day and make shopping more fun for all. They included Mother Goose Marti Stroman (l-r), Wicked Witch Kathy Hicklin and Halloween poetry signboard Rebecca Miles. New but not-scared-off volunteer LaVerne Smith is learning the tricks from spook expert and volunteer coordinator Rose Kroll.
