Author Malcolm Gladwell at Long Beach Theater

Renowned author Malcolm Gladwell will speak at the Long Beach Terrace Theater on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the theater’s Distinguished Speaker Series.

Through a speech and unscripted question and answer session, Gladwell will explore the complexities of human behavior and share compelling stories to explain often misunderstood societal concepts.

Gladwell is considered one of the most popular authors alive today. His books are known for changing how people understand the world and themselves. Celebrated for his intellectual curiosity and engaging storytelling, Gladwell has penned eight New York Times bestsellers. He has been recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People and one of Foreign Policy’s Top Global Thinkers. Gladwell’s seminal work, “The Tipping Point: How Little Things Make a Big Difference,” was published in the year 2000 and spent over 400 weeks on bestseller lists.

On Oct. 1, Gladwell released his most recent work, an instant bestseller, “Revenge of the Tipping Point: Overstories, Superspreaders, and the Rise of Social Engineering.”

The Distinguished Speaker Series of Long Beach is held at the Long Beach Terrace Theater, 300 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach.

The remaining series packages range from $320-$550 for one ticket to all five evenings. Tickets to a single speaker are not available.
