The Golden Age Foundation’s (GAF) quarterly battery recycling program will return on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Clubhouse 2 parking lot from 10 a.m.-noon. GRF ID is required.

The GAF will collect the following approved batteries for recycling:

• alkaline

• carbon zinc

• nickel cadmium

• nickel metal-hydride

• lithium ion

• lithium metal

• silver oxide

• button cell batteries and all other dry cell batteries.

This includes all household batteries, cell phone and laptop batteries, plus small buttontype batteries.

The GAF asks residents to place each lithium battery in a separate bag as part of the recycle requirements.

It is very important to recycle batteries to keep waste fees low and keep the planet clean.

This service is for Leisure World residents only, no business batteries.

The Golden Age Foundation is happy to be able to serve the community in this area. For more information, call Carl Kennedy at 661-810-9410.
