LWers can celebrate Veterans Day early with tour of Battleship Iowa
GRF BUS TRIP
The Recreation Department will conduct a GRF bus trip to tour the Battleship Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 7. After the tour, attendees will enjoy lunch at 22nd Street Landing with a view of the Cabrillo Marina. People are invited to join this insider’s tour of the Harbor area of San Pedro.
Tickets are $90 per person, which includes the docent-guided tour of the Iowa, choice of lunch options at 22nd Street Landing and a stop at the Korean Bell of Friendship, as well as transportation. This is a high activity level adventure.
The bus departs from the Amphitheater parking lot at 9 a.m. and returns in the late afternoon. Due to the historical nature of the battleship, some areas of the ship may not be accessible. A special docent tour will be available for those with mobility issues.
