Community Church

Community Church’s annual “Sock It to ‘Em” sock drive is now taking donations of new socks for veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs. People can bring new packages of men’s and women’s white athletic socks to Sunday worship or to the church office during the week. People can also bring a cash/check offering toward the purchase of socks.

Sunday, Oct. 27, will be the Word of the Oath and the following Sunday, Nov. 3, will be All Saints Sunday. On All Saints, Community Church has a tradition of celebrating the lives of those who have died. Those have a loved one who has died in the past year that they want to celebrate should contact the church office to have his or her name included. The names of those who have been lost will be read. A candle will be lit and a bell will be run for each one of them. All Saints will also conclude the stewardship season with a luncheon.

Community Church meets on Sundays at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place. People are also welcome to come early for a cup of coffee in the narthex. LWers are welcome to come to see what the “friendly church” is all about.
