Assembly of God

Hundreds of images of attention-seekers bombard people every day. Their messages vary greatly, but most are asking for something. Although media wasn’t involved in the equation in Jesus’ day, people still tried to draw attention to themselves. Two different men stood in the temple praying. The two ways they prayed guides Christ followers to develop right attitudes. Taken from Luke 18:9-14, Pastor Chuck Franco presents “Two Men and Their Prayers” on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 10:30 a.m. The Hymn Sing at 6 p.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby on Sunday.

The Wednesday Bible study is on session five of “Essentials for Finishing Well,” by Hal Habecker. This week’s declaration is “We Will Be Available,” and encourages senior adults to interact with people. Though retired people seem to be the busiest people, the wisdom they have gained living as Christ followers is valuable. When one makes him or herself available to be useful in God’s kingdom, the right situation will come along.
