LW Pool League

The Wednesday Pool League, officially known as the National League, completed the first half of the fall season. The six teams have played every other team once.

The Officer’s Club extended their league lead to eight games by beating The Misfits 8-5. Steve Edrich of The Officer’s Club won five games and teammate Connie Terry continued her strong play by winning five games, including both of her singles matches.

The Sharks beat The Predators 8-5 with Ruffy Ramos and Brian Burke winning five games.

The Hummers had a big night by beating Pink Champagne 9-4. Rusty Aquino, this year’s straight pool champion, won six games for The Hummers, including his eight-ball and nine-ball singles. Teammate Linda Patton won five games for The Hummers.

On Monday night, The Snipers moved into a tie for second place, only one game behind The Russtlers. They beat Palo de Villar 9-4. Phuoc Tran of The Snipers had the golden series by winning all seven of his games.

The Favorites edged The Renegades 7-6 by winning the final eight-ball game of the night. Susan Dodson made a long shot into the corner pocket to seal the victory. Steve Mitchell won five games including both of his singles for The Favorites.

The Cue Crew beat The Russtlers 8-5. Bruce Pettys had a good night for The Cue Crew by winning five games and both of his singles matches. The Russtlers still have a one game lead over The Favorites and The Snipers.
