Legends of Rock to perform after doo wop show
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL CLUB
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Let the Good Times Roll Club will host an evening of entertainment and dancing in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; the show starts at 6. Following the show will be two hours of dancing to rock and roll music by the Legends of Rock Dance Band.
The autumn theme for the show is “Falling in Love,” as expressed in songs. Members have chosen chart topping hits from a variety of genres, including rock and roll, doo wop, pop and country, all of which speak to the subject of falling in, or out, of love. The performance will include songs sung by Elvis Presley, Bocelli, Sonny & Cher, the Lettermen, Chris Monez, The Cure, Tony Bennett, Kenny Rogers and Tammy Wynette, Reba McIntyre, Linda Davis and others.
All residents and their guests are welcome. People are encouraged to bring their own beverages and snacks. The club provides coffee, tea, ice, cookies and cups.
The event is free, but donations to the club and to the band support the club’s mission to provide evenings of live entertainment, dancing and socializing for the Leisure World community.
