Learn about the city’s community garden

LW GARDEN CLUB

The Garden Club will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. The featured speaker will be Nathan Caukin, a recreation specialist with the City of Seal Beach, who will present a program on the Seal Beach Community Gardens, located within Edison Park and Gardens.

Caukins oversees the gardens and may be a familiar figure to the many Leisure World residents who have vegetable plots there.

The We Care table will be set up in the lobby for donations of non-perishable food items, gift cards and cash. Cash donations are particularly needed and appreciated right now as the holiday season approaches. All are welcome to attend. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served after the meeting.
