Sunshine Club

Dr. Nirav Patel will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m., in Clubhouse, 3 Room 2. Patel will lecture on stroke prevention including causes, symptoms and treatments.

Patel is a neurologist at Los Alamitos Medical Center. He is board-certified and is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed his residency, chief residency, and stroke fellowship at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. Patel is the medical director of the stroke program at Los Alamitos Medical Center/ UCI Health. He is an assistant clinical professor of neurology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has a special interest in stroke, migraine headache, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. Patel is also a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine at University of California, Irvine. All LWers are welcome to join the meeting. The club asks people to arrive promptly. Those who are late are asked to quietly use the back door so as not to disturb the presentation.

The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are welcome. Refreshment will be served at each meeting.
