Presidents’ Council Meeting Recap
THE PRESIDENTS’ COUNCIL Clubhouse 4 and Zoom Tele-Video Conference The regular monthly meeting of the Presidents’ Council of Leisure World Seal Beach was convened at 1:30 p.m. by President Carson on Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Clubhouse 4 and via Zoom televideo conference.
The following is a recap:
• Presidents’ Council meeting minutes of Sept. 4, 2024, were approved by the council to stand as printed.
• FireAvertRepresentativeShawnMartianprovidedalivedemonstration via Zoom on how the Fire Avert product works. He advised that the current bulk rate is $79.99 per unit.
• GRF President Janet Isom provided updates on GRF projects.
• Security Services Director Victor Rocha provided an update on the Gate Access System. He advised that there are about 5,000 plus residents coming in and out of the gate and stated that about 13,000 plus visitor passes are handed out at the gate.
• Senior Director of Facilities Mark Weaver advised the council regarding the insurance requirements to have smoke detectors for the laundry rooms. He also provided an update on the GRF building painting projects, the air conditioning systems and doorstops.
• Physical Property Manager Kevin Black provided an update on the patio process.
• Senior Director of Mutual Administration Jodi Hopkins provided updates in the Stock Transfer Department and discussed 2025 budgets, the Corporate Transparency Act and Elections.
• Executive Manager of Member Services Dave Potter provided insurance updates and discussed the 2025 budgets and the Corporate Transparency Act.
• The next meeting is on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. It will be streamed via Zoom tele-video conference and YouTube Live.
