To be a Christian and to know God’s word means to live like Jesus, in light of the truth all believers have received. This sharing of God-given spiritual life is what the Bible calls Christian fellowship, the family of God, and it will be the theme of LW Baptist’s worship service on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m.

The health of the fellowship appears in individual purity, selfcorrection and trust in God. Out of loyalty to Christ and to fellow Christians, everyone is to seek the well-being of the entire church, which is betrothed to Christ. Personal and corporate vigilance is required lest pride lead believers astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ. Only if “we walk in the light as he is in the light, do we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son purifies us from all sin,” 1 John 1:7.
