Assembly of God
On Sept. 29, Steve and Julie Kramer, missionaries to the Netherlands, shared their story with Assembly of God.
The Kramers have a unique story. Born premature and with cerebral palsy, Steve did not assume his challenges disqualified him for ministry. He has worked as a radio disc jockey, TV news anchor, reporter, pastor and missionary. The door has opened for them to return to the Netherlands to train, equip and mobilize the local church to reach their culture. Meeting needs through compassion ministry opens the door, outreach brings people in, and discipleship trains new believers, who then disciple the next generation of believers.
The Wednesday Bible study begins a new series, “Seven Essentials for Finishing Well,” by Hal Habecker. The first essential to be unpacked is “We Will Grow: We Will Not Stay the Same.” This lesson speaks to the issue of becoming stagnant or stuck in one’s attitude or condition. It is a law of nature, which God set in place, that things are either growing or they are dying. Nothing healthy remains the same.
Leisure World Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday of the month, at 6 p.m., in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. All Leisure World residents and friends are welcome.
