GUYS AND GALS GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Guys and Gals tournament was played on Sept. 18, a sunny and warm morning. Thirty-one teams of one man and one woman of varying skills contended for best net scores (gross score minus handicap), plus four circle holes (shots within a 5-foot radius rewarded), and two closest-to-the-pin challenges. Sixty-two players completed the 18 holes, where Sang An scored an uncommon hole-in-one on the 100-yard par-3 12th hole.

The course was in very good shape, although it was initially wet due to overnight watering. With great playing conditions, scores were outstanding with 28 of the 31 teams being net at or below par. Additionally, there were 12 circle hole winners with 52 birdies.

Low net score for the round was a tie at 43 by John Kolthoff and Karen Ford, and Won and Jane Song. For the men, closest to the pin was Marv Jones and Young Lee, and for the women it was Sophia Kim and Connie Kang.
