Meet Los Al School Board Candidate
SENIORS FOR PEACE
Seniors For Peace will meet on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. Matt Bragman, candidate for Los Alamitos School Board Trustee for Area 5, which includes LW Mutuals 3, 4, 5, and 6, he will share his vision for education and the Los Alamitos Unified School District.
Bragman has dedicated his career to education and has served as public school principal, teacher, and non-profit leader supporting K-12 schools across the country. He believes that the future of society hinges on the strength of education systems, which is why he is committed to ensuring that every student in Los Alamitos Unified, including his own daughter, receives the tools and opportunities necessary for success.
After the program there will be an opportunity to write postcards and letters, in continuation of the club’s “Get Out The Vote” campaign. All LW residents and guests are welcome. Call Pat Kruger at 562-357-4040 for more information.
The club notes with sadness the passing of longtime member Lucille Martin and acknowledges her tremendous contribution to the club’s history. She was dedicated to environmental issues, human rights, education and world peace. Martin was a strong and creative force for betterment in LW, most notably in her successful battle to have Rev. Martin Luther King’s birthday recognized and celebrated in LW long after it was declared a federal holiday.
