Meals on Wheels Orange County
On Sept. 16, Meals on Wheels Orange County moved from the North Seal Beach Center to its temporary location at OCFA Fire Station No. 48, 3131 North Gate Road, Seal Beach. It will remain open Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m.-noon, for anyone 60 or older.
Suggested contribution is $3. Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for $5. Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and come with 1% milk. LW Minibus service is available for a pick up at 10:25 a.m. at the Amphitheater bus stop on St. Andrews Drive. It returns to the Amphitheater at 11:40 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 26
Baked tilapia with ranchera sauce, broccoli, whole grain tortilla, sugar free pudding and orange juice.
Friday, Sept. 27
Cubed beef with pepper garlic sauce, carrots, brown rice and pineapple chunks.
Monday, Sept. 30
Pork carnitas with verde sauce, green peas, cilantro lime rice, whole grain tortilla and ambrosia.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
Chicken pasta with poppy seed dressing, spring mix with balsamic dressing, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and fresh orange.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
Salisbury steak with brown gravy, vegetable blend, sweet potatoes, whole wheat bread with Smart Balance and canned peaches.
