LW Korean Community Church (LWKCC) celebrated its 14th anniversary by visiting Turkey and Greece for the first Holy Land Exploration with 32 people, led by Senior Pastor Yong Jang-Young from Sept. 2-14.

Members visited Istanbul, followed the Apostle Paul’s journey, saw the Seven Churches of Asia Minor, Antaria, Iconium, Palmocale, Cappadocia and more.

On Sept. 8, the group visited the Greek island of Patmos. Then left at 3 a.m. to take a boat from the Turkish port of Kusadasi, arriving at the Patmos Island around 10:20 a.m. There, the group visited the Cave of Revelation, where the Apostle John received revelations.

Church members held a Sunday service at the entrance to the Cave of Revelation. Pastor Yong Jang-Yong delivered a message related to “Testimony of the Apostle Who Saw the Kingdom of God” from Revelation 1. All the offerings for that day were delivered to the local missionaries. The group also visited the Monastery of the Annunciation of the Holy Angel and Saint Amphilohius. .

On Oct. 6, the LWKCC Choir will participate in the 10th Siloam Eye Hospital Charity Concert for the Visually Impaired held at the Naseong Yeongrak Church LWKCC strives to fulfill its mission as a “church that plants God’s will on earth.” The church meets every Sunday at 11:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place.
