Recently, The Emergency Information Council (EIC) gratefully received its first donated vehicle under the vehicle donation program with CarEasy.org.

GRF President Janet Isom and her husband, and Mutual 16 President Dale Watkins, donated their unwanted 2001 Toyota Camry Solara.

Although the car provided good service over the years it had outlived its usefulness and an exit strategy was needed. Thanks to the quick and easy donation process, the car was picked up just a few days after the donation call. All that is required are a few numbers off the title document and a couple pictures submitted online. Tax deduction documents are available since the EIC is an charity. Donations can be made at www.eiclwsb.org/Donate-Vehicle or by calling 855-500-RIDE (7433). Be sure to mention the Emergency Information Council during the initial call.

The EIC will turn the proceeds derived from the sale into disaster preparedness information and related activities within Leisure World. The EIC provides monthly speakers related to disaster preparedness, a quarterly vital document scanning service and support for the Boots on Ground disaster response plan.
