“Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God,” Psalm 92:13. Through this verse, believers can discover that this promise from God means that they may flourish.

The psalmist speaks of being planted in the house of the Lord, or in other words, being a regular, active participant in God’s house on earth. The definition of the verb “plant” means “to put or set in the ground for growth.” When believers put their roots down into the good soil of a Bible-based church—meaning regular attendance and active participation—they experience this flourishing that comes from the growth a being “planted in the house.”

Another translation of this verse reads “they are transplanted into the Lord’s own garden and are under His personal care.” Church is so much more than people sometimes think of it. Some people might have experienced church as an obligation or duty, a place with rituals and rules. But it shouldn’t have to be that way. There is an intangible exchange that takes place when believers go to meet God in his house, along with his people, in the freedom and joy that God intended.

Join at Faith Christian Assembly each week for service. The church’s weekly service incudes worship with hymns, a biblical message and great community. Sunday morning service is held at 10:30 a.m. The Wednesday morning Bible study is held at 11 a.m. The men’s and women’s ministries meet the third Thursday of each month at 1 p.m.
