Beginning today, Sept. 26, the CA Secretary of State and the Orange County Registrar of Votes will begin mailing official voter information guides to all Leisure World registered voters— regardless of political party registration. Advance copies are also available online.

Distribution of vote-by-mail ballots will begin on Monday, Oct. 7. Leisure World’s voter drop box, located in the Amphitheater parking lot, will be open the same day. Voting centers throughout the county will be open no later than Nov. 2.

Anyone not already registered to vote can do so by going to a Vote Center to conditionally register to vote a provisional ballot.

California Democrat Party statewide endorsements— including for the propositions that will be voted on in this presidential election—are available online at https:// bluevoterguide.org/endorserorg/ California_Democratic_Party/ CA/670 . The League of Women Voters of California analysis of the propositions is also available online.

Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) candidate endorsements are available online. All registered Democrats and no preferred party voters in Leisure World will receive a letter from the SBLW Democratic Club’s board of directors with their endorsements.

The SBLW Democratic Club will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 24 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2 at 1:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be State Sen. Dave Min, who has been endorsed by the SBLW club as well as by the Democratic Party of Orange County for election to succeed Katie Porter as LW’s district’s representative in Congress. Dom Jones has also been invited to attend the Oct. 24 membership meeting. She will share updated information about her campaign for election to the CA Assembly.

The club’s hospitality and voter information booth is located in the parking lot outside Clubhouse 6 and will be open every Tuesday and Thursday in September from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m. Yard signs will be available at the booth for:

• Frances Marquez for OC Board of Supervisor.

• Harris/Walz for president and vice-president.

• Dave Min for House of Representatives District 47.

• Matt Bragman for school board trustee Area 5.

• Franaz Pardasani for school board trustee Area 4.

Some of these races will be listed on our general election ballots as nonpartisan. Signs are also available by emailing mlarson.telfords@gmail.com.
