Meals on Wheels Orange County

Beginning Sept. 16, Meals on Wheels Orange County is moving from the North Seal Beach Center to its temporary location at OCFA Fire Station No. 48, 3131 North Gate Road, Seal Beach. It will remain open Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m.-noon, for anyone 60 or older.

Suggested contribution is $3. Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for $5. Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and come with 1% milk.

LW Minibus service is available for a pick up at 10:25 a.m. at the Amphitheater bus stop on St. Andrews Drive. It returns to the Amphitheater at 11:40 a.m.

Thursday, Sept. 19

Pork loin with sweet citrus glaze, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and a mandarin orange.

Friday, Sept. 20

Chicken tamarin, oriental vegetable blend, pineapple fried rice, egg drop soup, whole wheat crackers and canned pears.

Monday, Sept. 23

Beef goulash, egg noodles, California vegetable blend, whole wheat crackers, carrot bread of fresh fruit (diet).

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Mexican beef cocido, vegetable mix, whole grain tortilla, banana and sugar-free pudding.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Turkey bolognese, Italian vegetable blend, bow tie pasta with parmesan cheese, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and tropical fruit mix.
