On Sept. 4, the national division of the Leisure World fall pool league began its 10 week season. The Officers Club beat Pink Champagne 8-5. Steve Edrich led The Officers Club with wins. Teammate John Barth also had five wins, including both his eight-ball and nine-ball singles matches.

The Predators beat the Hummers 8-5. Wildfire! Christensen had a big night for the Predators, winning both of her singles and four doubles matches.

Jumping out to a narrow league lead the Hustlers beat the Misfits 9-4. Ruffy Ramos and Cornel Sneeks each had five wins for the Hustlers. Chandra Patel, playing her first pool league match, got off to a good start by winning four of her seven games.

On Sept. 9, The Favorites beat Palo de Villar 9-4. Palo de Villar is Spanish for a cue stick. While the two teams split their singles matches, The Favorites won five of the six doubles matches and the final eight ball game, when Susan Dodson made the eight ball after getting ball in hand after a scratch shot. Dave Silva won six games, including both of his singles matches. The Cue Crew beat the Renegades 8-5. Bruce Pettys and Cornel Sneeks both won five games for the Cue Crew. The Swipers edged the Russtlers 7-6. The Swipers won four of their doubles matches. Gary Snow won five games, including both of his singles matches.

The Russtlers still hold the lead with a record of 17 wins and nine losses. The Favorites are in second place one game back.
