First Christian Church
First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
This weekend Pastor Gary Whitlatch will look at what he feels is the “crescendo” of 1st Timothy. 1st Timothy 5:8 states, “But if anyone does not provide for his own, especially those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” This command is perhaps the strongest admonition of Paul of all the epistles, and it is to the men in the Church. The admonition to the women in Titus 2 is softer and gentler, but to the men, because of the God’s intent that they lead, it is much stronger and direct. This message will examine biblically what Christian men are reminded to do as leaders in the home, the church and the body of Christ.

Scripture of the Week
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night. For you, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands,” Psalm 22 1-2,4.
