Parkinson’s Support Group meets Sept. 17

The Parkinson’s support group will meet Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m., in the Optum HCC Conference Room, and feature John Mercurio from the HB Fight Club. Come and hear how a unique approach to movement that combines lessons from martial arts and boxing can help people with Parkinson’s disease. Mercurio already has patients with Parkinson’s that utilize some of his methods and techniques.

HB Fight Club is located in Huntington Beach and is 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It serves the community and people with developmental, neurological and mental hindrances, giving them tools they need to build confidence, overcome hardship, and embrace the fighter within.
