A Silent Sentinel

When a woman sadly walked out of the ICU, Her heart ached at the sight of a loved one in pain.

On her way home, a snow-white cashmere coat Wafts in the mall’s display window, Tempting her weary mind with its soft allure.

Security stands at the store entrance— A silent sentinel, unmoved by her sigh.

She pauses, torn between her desire and the weight of grief. Scruples whispers, guiding her choice: To pass by or step inside, to resist or indulge.
