LW Assembly of God
Everyone likes to hear good news. It is impossible to keep good news a secret for long, as one wishes to share the reason for the telltale signs of joy and excitement.
The definition of “Gospel” is good news. Romans 3:21-26 reveals the purpose of the Gospel, why it was given, what it is meant to accomplish, and why Christians are eager to share it. Pastor Chuck Franco will deliver a sermon titled “The Gospel’s Purpose” on Sunday, Sept. 15.
The Wednesday Bible study will take on the last session of the “Thriving in Babylon” series by Larry Osborne. Students have learned from Daniel’s example how to thrive in a culture opposed to godliness and Biblical principles using the tools of preparation, hope and humility. The final tool is wisdom. The study answers the question, when should Christians compromise, when should they stand strong, and when should they avoid reacting simply from fear? Compelling stories of real people in real situations drive home the point of this lesson.
