LW’s soul and Motown favorite to perform
SUMMER AMPHITHEATER CONCERTS
Stone Soul September 5 | 7:30 p.m. Amphitheater Stage Sponsored by Optum Healthcare
The second-to-last show of the summer Amphitheater season will feature Stone Soul, an eight-piece, horn-blowing, foot-stomping classic soul and Motown tribute band that entertains with snazzy suits and spot-on renditions of music from Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Otis Redding, James Brown and more.
People are invited to grab a friend and dance The Jerk, The Mashed Potato and The Twist to smash hits from the Motown years on the platforms on either side of the stage.
The band plays at a variety of special events in Leisure World and will be familiar to many.
Volunteers from the Seal Beach Animal Care Center will be stationed at the Amphitheater entrances to collect cash and supply donations for the shelter.

Al fresco dining will be provided by Koffel’s Food Truck, the Viking Truck and Scooter’s Sweet Shack from 5-7 p.m. Together they will provide a wide range of offerings sure to cover every palate: hot dogs, burgers, fries, bratwurst, garlic fries, Italian ice, ice cream sundaes, churros, beverages and more.
Minibus transportation is available before and after shows. Concert-goers can flag down Minibuses from any safe curbside location along the bus route. After the show, drivers will take all riders to safe and accessible locations near their homes.
