Learn about city elections at Sept. 10 meeting in CH 3
CITY OF SEAL BEACH
The City of Seal Beach will share information about the upcoming 2024 municipal election during a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 1:30 p.m.
The meeting will be led by Assistant City Manager Patrick Gallegos, Finance Director Barbara Arenado and Police Chief Michael Henderson.
In November, residents will elect council members for District 2, representing Leisure World, College Park West and Rossmoor Center, and District 4, representing College Park East and Town Center. Voters will also decide whether to approve Measure GG, which seeks to establish a local sales tax ordinance that would increase the city’s existing sales tax rate by 0.5%.
If adopted, it is estimated that the measure would generate approximately $3 million in new revenue for the city.
